🇩🇪 Francoforte, Germania
Frankfurt is Germany's and Europe's main financial hub, home to the ECB and the country's largest airport. The flight from Naples takes around 2h 45min with Lufthansa, Ryanair and easyJet (7 times/week). The Römerberg (medieval square), Städel Museum, Alte Oper, the museum-lined Main riverbank and traditional Apfelwein (apple cider) make for a surprisingly pleasant stay in an often underrated city.
📅 Best time to visit
April–June and September–November are ideal: mild climate (14–22°C), outdoor concerts and markets. December is magical for the Weihnachtsmarkt at Römerberg (one of Germany's finest). Summer is warm (24–28°C) with Museumsufer festivals.
🌤 Climate
Frankfurt has a temperate continental climate with warm summers (22–28°C in July) and cold winters (0–6°C in January). Rainfall is moderate year-round. Snow is possible December–February.
🏨 Where to stay
The Innenstadt (city centre) is close to the main attractions. Sachsenhausen (south bank of the Main) is the Apfelwein neighbourhood with the best bars. Bornheim is the most vibrant alternative area. Westend is elegant and residential.
